Easy Peasy Egg People

Make decorating eggs simple by creating these cute people/bunny.

Materials:

Rolly Pollies Printables
Eggs
Markers

Directions:

Dye eggs as normal. Cut out the cupcake wraps from the Rolly Pollies Printables or any other cupcake wraps. Tape together (you will need to bring in smaller than you would for cupcake. I had about an inch overlap. Set your eggs in cupcake wraps. Use sharpees to decorate egg faces and cupcake wraps. Cut out bunny ears for top of egg, or you can use arms from the Rolly Pollies Graphic Set or Cut Set. Shop the Rolly Pollies Collection on sale until tomorrow at midnight, MST.

Yarn

Directions:

On a second sheet of cardstock, using a glue gun, working in small sections, glue your yarn to the piece of cardstock. Glue finish piece to the back of the bunny silhouette and frame!

Candy Melt Bunny Toppers

Get into the spirit of the holiday and make this special treat for that some "bunny" special! These fun toppers are easy to make and entirely edible!

Materials:
Little Peanuts Graphic Set
Candy Melts in pink and white
wax paper
black decorating gel
toothpicks
plastic bags

Directions:

Begin by printing out an army of bunnies from the Little Peanuts Graphic Set. Lay the print out on a cookie sheet and cover with wax paper.

Starting with the white candy melts, pour about half the bag into a microwave safe bowl, and follow the directions to melt them.

Melted product should look like this:

Scoop the melted candy into a plastic sandwich bag. Then we are going to cut off a tiny corner.

Then you carefully start to trace over the bunnies with your melted chocolate. It may take a few tries before perfection, the melt is easy to scrap back off and put back into the bowl. I start down with one ear, circle around the head and up the other ear, back down and do the body.

Then once the white sets up, remove it from the tray, and put a fresh piece of wax paper on for the pink. Following the same directions as before, trace over the ears, cheeks and stomach with the pink candy melt.

Wait for both sides to completely set up, then you will remelt some more pink candy melt. Peel off your ears, cheeks and tummy one at a time and use a tooth pick to adhere a little melted candy melt to the pieces and stick to the bunny body.

Squirt out a little bit  of the black decorating gel, and use a toothpick to apply eyes and a nose.

Finished bunnies should look like this:

Let the black set up for a bit, then you can stick these little guys directly on top of your frosted cupcakes, for a fun, delectable treat!

Easter Jinspirations

Easter is just around the corner. If you're looking for a fun craft, giveaway, or card to make, here are some of my favorite inspirations (Jinspirations) from Jin at Under A Cherry Tree.

I have to say Jin's, "Hanging with My Peeps," might be my all time favorite Jin project ever. All marshmallow fans love Peeps at Easter, and what fan wouldn't adore the humor added to this fun gift? What makes this even better?We now have now brought back all our Photobooth Prop SVG files as Cut Sets!

Often some of the simplest ideas turn out the best. I have always love Jin's Washi tape cards, but this one is especially "eggsciting!"  Check out her fun tutorial here!

Tulip Pop Bouquet

Brighten anyone's day with this delightful Tulip treat!  A fun easy to make gift, or make an entire tulip bush as a fun centerpiece for a party or shower.  Or simplify your Easter and use as a non-traditional Easter basket. Begin by finding a simple balloon in any party themed cut set. We used Ice Princess Party Cut Set. And the basket is from Tisket and Taskets Cut It Projects.

Bring the balloon in Make-the-Cut or like program. I deleted all layers except the basic balloon.

Next, make a rectangle with the shape tool above, just double click on the rectangle shape. I made my rectangle just under half an inch by just under one inch.

Now you want to center these shapes by right clicking and selecting align>align vertically. And then you want to weld them together.  Right click>shape magic>weld (control +W).

 Now you want to copy the shape 5 times.

 Then you will align again. Right click>align>align horizontally. Then Right click>space>space horizontally. Weld together. Right click>shape magic>weld (control +W).

Now cut out your tulip. You will fold down the center of each two.

Bring around together and glue the 5th piece to the 4th side.

Stick your sucker in and tie with ribbon. Use floral foam to stick your tulips up in, and you have a fun fast gift!
