Good Ship Lollipop Candy Wrap

Beautiful gift wrap, is the icing on a delicious cake. The more delicious the icing, the more delicious the cake! Using the new Good Ship Lollipop Cut It, is a fun, beautiful and happy way to create some magical gift wrap, or even use the same set up for a gorgeous card!

Materials:

Good Ship Lollipop Cut It
Cardstock
tissue paper
Bakers Twine
Paper flowers
glitter
kraft paper for gift wrap

Directions:

Begin by cutting and assembling the candy elements from the Good Ship Lollipop Cut It.  I ended up cutting the ends off to the peppermint, so I could create a more 3-D version by fan folding a small piece of tissue, shown below.
Once your gift is wrapped (I love using kraft wrapping paper), I used my bakers twine to twirl around and glue into place on the gift. I just used small spots of hot glue here and there.
Then I applied my candy pieces, and sprinkled with a little glitter for that extra magical appeal!

Right now, the more you spend, the more you save with the "Shop 'til you lollipop" coupon codes! Save up to $15! Buy already heavily discounted bundles and really stack the savings! These sweet coupon codes expire February 28th!

Thursdays Tips: How to Use Leftovers to make Amazing Junk Bows!

Crafting and cut projects generally leave lots of scraps and extras. Don't throw them away! Use those extras to make darling junk bows, the new rage in gift wrapping! Junk Bows are the perfect way to use all those leftovers that you don't really know what to do with otherwise, from the remnants of scrapbook papers, ribbons, or just extras of this and that. And one of my favorite things to do with the left over strips of paper from my cutting projects to cut out borders or other things to add to these fun bows as well!

Begin your bows by compiling your master "junk" pile. Anything goes! This is the time to use all your left over scrapbook scraps, saved ribbons from old gifts, left over scrapbook supplies.

Junk List:
scrapbook remnants
ribbon
twill
raffia
painters masking protection tape in kraft
bells
flowers
old measuring tapes
newspaper
sheet music
old book pages

I also compiled left over items I had made extra of, or cut some simple fun things from small leftover scraps of paper.
Great Cut It Files for Scraps:
Elegant Borders Cut Its
Doodle Borders Cut Its
Lockets of Love Charms Cut Its
Layered Tags Cut Its
Ornament Collection Cut Its
Accordion Rosettes Cut Its
Dimentsional Flowers Cut It Projects
FREE Twisty Ornament

One fun way to start a bow, is with accordion folding a page from an old book.
Decide what other items you want to use. If its easier for you, precombine each piece with either wire or glue by just looping together.
Layer together and then wrap wire around to secure into place.
Glue on a fun centerpiece. I used a piece from my extra garland I had previously made. (See this post for details.)
Bows can be created with almost anything you can think of. Just have fun putting nothing to waste! Check out more of my bows below:

Thursday's Tip: Beautiful Gift Wrap

I've said before how delighted I get when I receive a beautifully packaged gift. In fact, I love wrapping gifts. Beautiful gift wrapping is a way to differentiate your gift, and make it extra special! Check out our easy ideas starting with a kraft paper base, then get yourself in gear, only 5 wrapping days left!

Quilled Flower Wrap

To make this simple gift I used the Quilled Flower Cut It Set and then the tag from Basic Tags SVG. I began by just cutting some strips of scrapbook paper or wrapping paper to wrap vertically around the gift. Cut out one of your tags from the Basic Tags SVG file. Then wrap some bakers twin around and tie off the tag, it even looks cute like this:

Cut out your flower you want to quill. If you have never quilled a flower before, you can watch this quick tutorial.
Glue your flower to the top of the package as shown.

Name Gift

Fonts are beautiful and an easy way to decorate a package. Did you know you can cut out any font using Make-the-Cut and your digital cutting machine? To create this package I used LD Peticoat Twist, and simply typed in the name directly into MTC in the font box on the right hand side, cut out and adhered to my gift. Cute, fast and easy!!! You can hurry and grab LD Petticoat Twist for just $1 until midnight tonight, MST.

Simple Borders Wrap

Just cut out the borders you love from our Doodle Borders Cut It Set. It doesn't get easier than this. Then wrap with my favorite...baker's twine, add a tag from the Basic Tags SVG, and your done!

Rosette Garland Wrap

Ok, so I've been digging on the accordian folded rosette garland idea, when I made it for my christmas tree, so I used it again for my gift wrap. Just put together your rosettes from the Accordian Folded Rosette SVG. This time I glued buttons to the middle. Then glue to your twine, wrap around your package, add a tag, and done!
