Sparkle Crown Photo Prop

Our SVG Crown set is just $1 during our SVG sale and only on the site for a limited time! Turn your crown into a fun sparkly photo prop for the perfect princess photoshoot!

Materials:

SVG Crowns
Heavy cardstock
Mod Podge
Glitter
Paint brush
Clear Coat Finish Spray

Directions:

The crowns are sized for a 24" mat. I wanted a smaller crown to sit on top of her head, so I sized down to 12 inches and cut out on a heavy cardstock.

Paint the Mod Podge over the entire surface of the crown, working fairly quickly. I used a mixture of silver and gold glitter and poured on top. Let that side dry completely, and do the back side as well.
Let the back side dry, then spray the crown with a clear coat acrylic spray. Fold around and glue together.

Get Happy with our Get Happy Rainbow Party

What little girl doesn't love unicorns and rainbows? With our new Get Happy Collection, creating the ultimate rainbow party is a breeze (or rainbow)...

Check out all of our rainbow party tips and ideas below!

1.  Happy Birthday Cloud Sign

Cut out a giant cloud from the Get Happy Cut It and use LD Mellow Fellow to cut out rainbow colored letters.
2. Tagged Skittle Party Favors

Use 1" by 7" cellophane bags and fill with Skittles or M&M's, create a simple tag and spell out Happy Birthday or the Birthday Girl or Boy's name (using LD Mellow Fellow). Fold in half, add a little ribbon and stable to the top of the bags.

3. Rainbow Pinwheel Party Decor and Favors

User our new Layered Party Pinwheel Cut It to create fun colorful pinwheels for easy fun decor and favors!
4. Decorated Party Hat

Use any party hat from many of our party sets or if you grabbed last weekend's Layered Party Hat, you're even more in luck! Print out your darling's age using the Get Happy Alphabet on some white card stock, and shape hat by following the hat template.  Use sequence and boa feather fuzz to glam it up and make it the perfect birthday girl hat.
5. Cookie and Candy Envelopes

Make some easy sprinkled sugar cookies and use the cookie envelopes from our Get Happy Printables. Add your little princess's age using the Get Happy Alphabet.  And fun retro candy dots also make a perfect rainbow treat!
6. Ice Cream Cone Wraps

Add fun and flair to your ice cream cones with our ice cream cone wraps from our Get Happy Printables.
7. Rainbow Candy Kabob

Use colored candies to make this fun kabob. Use one of the tags from our Get Happy Printables to help finish it off!

8. Cupcake Toppers

Cupcake Toppers from the Get Happy Printables. Blank out one of the topper centers in photoshop and use LD Mellow Fellow to personalize or the Get Happy Alphabet to add a number to represent her age.

9. Rainbow bows and Party Flair

Every birthday girl needs some party flair! Create hair piece from ribbons of all shades of the rainbow. I just laid ribbons scraps down and tied together in the center then glued to an alligator clip. Create some party buttons from the Get Happy Cut Its or Graphic Set and your birthday girl and guests have all the perfect party flair.

Thursday's Tip: Embellished Party Hat Headband

Every birthday girl needs a party hat, especially for a 1st birthday! Create this fun embellished party hat, with our new Z Best Party Printables and Z Best Day Cut It Set!
Materials:

Z Best Party Printables
Z Best Day Cut It Set
Feathers
Ribbon
Ruffled Trim
Cardstock
Hot Glue
Headband
Felt

Directions:

Begin by printing and cutting out one of the party hats from the Z Best Party Printables. (I did size this down so it would be smaller than normal. About 9 inches wide, however you can make it any size you want. You will need to take and exacto knife and cut on the slit mark to insert the tab.

Glue tab in place. Now trace around the bottom of the hat on a piece of paper, this will be your template for the felt that we will be gluing to the bottom of the hat.

Use a thick ruffle/lacey trim to adhere to the bottom of the hat. You need a trim wide enough that you will be able to attach your felt to at the bottom. If you want to stick any trim or feathers up through the top of the hat, do that before you close off the bottom.
Cut out your circular template that you traced and place on top of a piece of felt. Cut out the felt so that it is slightly bigger than the circular template, but not big enough to reach beyond the trim. Glue the head band to the felt so that the headband sits on top. Now you will begin to glue your hat to the felt above that.
I then cut out a flower from the Z Best Day Cut It Set (removed stem portion). And assembled the flower.
I attached assembled flower to the top of the hat and continued to add ribbons, feather and other embellishments until I loved the finished product!
